Projection has been the mainstay for a criminal’s rise to power. The greatest of these projections is the use of a term “Enemy Within.”
Our President Elect has literally called for the termination of The Constitution of the United States of America for expediency of his goals. We will watch and interact for or against that willingness in real and consequential terms.
Violence has been promised and the use of our military against our country’s own people has been threatened as the means to facilitate that violence by our own president elect.
As the orders are issued from the Whitehouse – and they will be at some point beginning with rounding up and removing so called “illegal immigrants.” We may soon learn what is meant in the oath he and others took to defend against enemies both foreign and domestic. Who is and isn’t “The Enemy Within?” Is it him in the ultimate projection – assigning his intention and attributes to others he plans to defeat, marginalize or destroy?
We will see this as a battle between those in military branches. We will see it between people in judiciary and other roles within the judicial system. Some will defend the constitution, and others will comply with unconstitutional acts directed by the commander in chief over the limitless destructive power of our military.
Wherever the oath was taken, we will see the divisions conclusively within the power and defense structures and there will be heavy prices to pay for all. Our civil war will not take place on battle fields between states. It may well take place on your street, my street or downtown among boarded up businesses. It will not be confined only to the houses of government or the halls of justice. We will learn what actual resistance means. Resistance on which we used to comment conveniently and safely. Assessments made inside our living rooms watching realtime battles in places we never had to live or protect or survive. We drew conclusion on lives we knew little about and among people some of us cared very little for. This will be different. It will not call for our comment or arrogant advisory from a comfy onlooking in our upholstered and convenience-outfitted observatories. This will be as real as being there – because we will be.
Do you think this is apocalyptic paranoia? Well, these were his promises from his own lips. It is not interpretation or extrapolation from innuendo or speculation. This was promised by the man who will take over the most powerful seat of influence and government in the world.
What we will learn about ourselves and each other – is who actually believes in, supports and holds as sacrosanct, The Constitution of the United States of America. We will watch as some facilitate and others resist the orders that come down to attack peaceful protestors against anything our president supports, staffs or utilizes. This will play out before our eyes.
So far, he has kept his word – at least on retaliatory measures. We’ll have to wait and see if he tries to jail members of congress. Our highest court has determined the president as unprosecutable for any crimes he commits. We have to ask ourselves what might he do with absolute and unchecked power, and who might be subject to his anger. Apolcalyptic? Paranoia? We’ll see. I hope I am wrong. I hope we all are.
The President-elect was right about the enemy within. They voted him into office.
